An unused Enterprise ending had Jonathan Archer die the day after a christening
Two planets, an earlier first name and a finale that never made it on screen
Here are three Star Trek facts about Jonathan Archer that you may not know, and the last one never made it on screen.
First, his biography credits him with two planets named after him: Archer's Planet and Archer IV.
Second, he wasn't originally Jonathan. An earlier character breakdown called him Captain Jackson Archer. That doesn't quite roll off the tongue the same, does it?
Finally, writer Mike Sussman wrote an unused ending where Archer attended the christening of the original Enterprise, and he died the next day. It's not established canon, but imagine ending Enterprise with that.
Did you know all three of these?
