Why Yoda Never Went Back to Fight Palpatine After One Duel
A shattered Jedi Order, loyal clones and the need to train someone kept Yoda in exile.
Yoda fought Palpatine one time and never went back. Why? Killing the Emperor wouldn't magically undo the Empire.
The Jedi were shattered. The clones served their new ruler, and Yoda had already failed to beat him. Another attempt would risk losing one of the last Jedi who could train someone to carry on. So he chose exile and waited for a new hope.
And here's the irony. The Empire eventually fell because Luke refused to do what everybody expected.
Was exile the right call for Yoda?
