Was Strange New Worlds season 4 one big swing and a miss? I love this crew, but in 10 episodes we got Muppets, noir, a soap opera, fairy tales and drunken shore leave.
Some of it was fun, but I kept waiting for the Enterprise to find a new world, meet people we didn't know and face a problem with no easy answer. Pike's crew is good enough to carry that show. So why did season 4 spend so much time trying to be every other kind of show?
