Ultra Instinct Gogeta: the most dangerous fusion yet?
With silver-haired Ultra Instinct at will and Vegeta's Forced Spirit Fission, a fused Goku and Vegeta could outclass Jiren, Broly and Moro, though probably not Whis
I think Ultra Instinct Gogeta after the Moro arc could be the most dangerous fusion Dragon Ball has ever had. I was reflecting on this on November 28, 2020, thinking about Dragon Ball Super manga chapter 66 and everything that has happened with Dragon Ball Super over the past couple of years. My conclusion is that a Gogeta formed now would be a serious threat to almost any mortal fighter.
The reasoning comes down to two things Goku and Vegeta picked up during the Moro arc: Goku's ability to enter silver-haired Ultra Instinct at will, and Vegeta's Forced Spirit Fission. Put both inside one fused body, and that raises the question of what the possibilities now are for this fighter.
Gogeta Blue in Dragon Ball Super: Broly set the bar
We saw Gogeta Blue in Dragon Ball Super: Broly (2018), and he was the strongest Gogeta we'd ever seen, obviously higher than the one in the Janemba film. He was extraordinarily powerful, and there's no question about that.
The Goku and Vegeta of that film came after the Tournament of Power and after the battles with Jiren, Toppo, Kefla and everybody else. That made them far more powerful than they were for most of that arc, and stronger than they were when they formed Vegito against Zamasu. So the Broly film already gave us a very powerful Gogeta.
How Goku's training with Merus changed Ultra Instinct
With the Moro arc, things changed even further and got even crazier. Between Broly and the Moro arc, Goku and Vegeta trained together. As far as I know, the length of that period is unspecified. We don't know how many months or weeks passed after Broly before Moro began, but we know they trained.
On top of that, Goku trained with Merus for three months in a mock Room of Spirit and Time, an alternate dimension created for that training. The goal was for Goku to learn to tap into Ultra Instinct at will and to improve and upgrade Ultra Instinct Omen. Ultra Instinct Omen Goku in the Moro arc on his own would destroy the version from the Tournament of Power, because he can now do whatever he wants with that form or technique.
Ultra Instinct is considered a technique. I considered it more of a state of being, but when Goku uses it and his hair turns silver, that makes it a transformation. So it's both, and that ends the debate. When angels and Beerus use it, from what we see there's no transformation, so in that case it's more of a technique. It simply has that particular reaction when Goku uses it, and presumably other Saiyans as well.
Why Gogeta would inherit Ultra Instinct and Forced Spirit Fission
Against Moro, Goku uses silver-haired Ultra Instinct and can do it at will. He no longer needs to stumble into it by accident or even get angry. He only has to focus, as Merus told him. Goku can now go from his base form directly into silver-haired Ultra Instinct.
That means if they form Gogeta, the fusion, having Goku's mind inside him, would have that knowledge. That's why Gogeta and Vegito know Goku and Vegeta's techniques. Vegeta, meanwhile, has trained with the Yardrats. He now knows their strange and unique abilities, like teleporting, which Goku already knew, and he's equipped with Forced Spirit Fission.
So if Goku and Vegeta fused today, it would be Gogeta first, and then Gogeta could tap into Ultra Instinct because of Goku's memory. We'd have a character who knows how to enter silver-haired Ultra Instinct at will and who also knows Forced Spirit Fission. That is incredibly dangerous.
Ultra Instinct Gogeta against Jiren, Broly and Moro
Ultra Instinct Gogeta after Moro would be a serious threat to just about anybody. I'm not talking about the angels and the Grand Priest. I mean the mortals. I think Ultra Instinct Gogeta after Moro would curb stomp Jiren, even if Jiren has been training. It's too much of a power boost. Remember how strong fusion makes you and how powerful fused characters are.
Broly would be defeated even faster than he was in Dragon Ball Super: Broly. Moro would be curb stomped as well. Think about how fast Gogeta is, not only based on what he did against Janemba but how fast he was as Gogeta Blue. Then think about how much faster he would be with Migatte no Gokui, letting his body move on its own.
That's why I say Ultra Instinct Gogeta after Moro could be the most dangerous fusion ever. This stops merged Zamasu, and it completely outdoes Kefla. It isn't even close.
Could Ultra Instinct Gogeta beat Whis? I don't think so
Does that mean he could take on Whis? I don't think so. I think the powers of the angels, especially Whis, are levels beyond the understanding of mortals at this point. Whis blocking everything with his finger is absurd.
I'm not sure that Ultra Instinct Gogeta would beat Whis. I'm sure there are some people who do think so, though.
Could Gogeta use Goku's giant Ultra Instinct projection?
There's also what we saw Goku do to consider. At the end of the Moro arc, Goku projected his Ultra Instinct image into a giant, ethereal version of himself. It was not a transformation. It was a projection of energy, an illusion of sorts, but it was still able to hold Moro down.
You would think Gogeta could do that too. If Goku can do it, and Gogeta shares the minds of Goku and Vegeta, then Gogeta could do it. The question is whether turning into a giant made of energy would drain the fusion time faster.
Or it may work the other way, because Ultra Instinct may use less ki. If you're fighting with Ultra Instinct, you're probably giving off a lot less energy, even though you're giving off a lot more heat. So there's a very strong possibility that this could be the magic formula for making Gogeta an absolute monster.

The article concludes there is no clean in-universe fix: it is likely a genuine plot hole, with the writer believing Akira Toriyama simply forgot that Goku had already died in the original timeline when writing Battle of Gods.
