How Doctor Doom built Battleworld from the final incursion in Marvel Comics
In the comics, Victor took the Beyonders' powers and salvaged part of a dying multiverse to make a new reality
In the comics, incursions happen when two realities' Earths collide over a period of eight hours, destroying both Earths and their realities. That in turn leads to more collisions and, if left unchecked, the death of the multiverse. As things stood, that same multiverse was quite literally in the hands of one Norse god.
Doom took the Beyonders' powers in the comics
So where does Doom come into all of this? Victor does, from time to time, kind of follow in the footsteps of other Marvel heroes. In one case in the comics, he went after the Beyonders and stole their powers with the help of Molecule Man and Stephen Strange.
Victor salvaged part of the multiverse to make Battleworld
The multiverse still perished with the final incursion. But Victor was able to make an entirely new reality by salvaging a small portion of the multiverse to create Battleworld.
