Who is Klaus? The Call of Duty Warzone operator's Danish backstory

Klaus is a Call of Duty: Warzone operator whose backstory begins in a village in Denmark. From an early age he was taught to forage, fish and live off the forests around a lake near his home.

How Klaus joined the Danish military

His interests soon turned to the world beyond his home. On his 17th birthday, he had his father sign consent forms for military service. His upbringing made him a natural soldier, and he excelled in all aspects of training, particularly nighttime exercises including navigation. He later learned he was born with exceptional natural night vision.

Klaus in Denmark's elite special forces

At age 22, Klaus passed selection to Denmark's elite special forces. He took part in operations around the globe, from hunting pirates to eventually raiding high level terrorist safe houses in the mountains of Al Mazrah.

Known for his professionalism, his optimism and his sweet tooth, Klaus was described at the time as one of the most respected operators on active duty.
