Agatha All Along's First Three Episodes Get a 10 Out of 10: Witchy, Creepy and Unlike Marvel

A first look at episodes one to three, from the strong opening to the loss of Sharon and a theory about the boy on the road

I gave the first three episodes of Agatha All Along a 10 out of 10, "straight up," with no questions asked. The show is witchy and creepy, and "it does not feel like Marvel, but I like it." I really do.

I went in excited. I was obsessed with Agatha in WandaVision, so it felt right that she got her own story. She deserves it, because she killed that role. To me, it also means she is going to come back in some films. I'm terrified of her, and I couldn't stand her when she went after Wanda, but she's a force to be reckoned with.

The first episode is a strong opening because Agatha is naturally intriguing

I thought the first episode was a really strong opening, because Agatha as a character is just naturally interesting and intriguing. I loved what they did showing all the witches and the witchcraft. Then the second episode starts uncovering things, and I liked our new recruits. Each one is unique and different in their own way.

The trials send each witch back to their worst nightmare

I loved the obstacle courses and the fact that each witch has their own job. Each of them has lost something and is trying to get it back. In the third episode especially, I really loved how they all went through a moment from their past, something that hurt them, which is their worst nightmare. I also loved that they went through the oven. There's a witch in there, and it's really cool.

I'm pretty sure the boy is Agatha's son

I'm pretty sure he's Agatha's son, and I'm not sure how that will pan out. If he is, I think he's going to be angry. I'm also wondering whether everything being hidden from everyone is part of the curse that came from her choosing the dark book. And I'm wondering whether Sharon could hear what he said, since she's not a witch.

Losing Sharon was a real letdown

I'm really bummed that we lost Sharon. She was absolutely delightful and perfect. I don't know if she's actually dead, or maybe she'll make a comeback. Anything's possible.

Agatha's moment with Jennifer showed a different side

Agatha is so self-absorbed, but I loved her moment with Jennifer, when Agatha told her she always hated her but left her alone because what she was doing was important, and said: "They can take your power, Jen. But they can't take your knowledge." What a great moment. It showed a different part of Agatha that I'm really excited about. Then at the end she turns into a little troll again.

It has a little bit of WandaVision vibes but is very different, because it's so witchy. I love how they tie different types of witches into the storytelling and the opening and end credits. It kind of scares me a little, too. It's creepy and eerie, and it gives me that feeling of "I don't want to look but I want to look." It's so refreshingly fun, and I don't want it to end.

Do you think the boy on the road turns out to be Agatha's son?
