Abomination vs Cull Obsidian: Why Emil Blonsky Comes Out on Top

Cull Obsidian's warhammer and his fight with the Hulkbuster make him dangerous, but his durability and Blonsky's training tip the battle

Abomination versus Cull Obsidian: who wins? For all the reasons below, I give it to Abomination.

Both of these guys have fought against their own version of the Hulk.

Cull Obsidian fought the Hulkbuster, while Abomination fought the actual Hulk

Cull Obsidian's big test was against the Hulkbuster. Abomination fought the real Hulk. That is a pretty big difference.

To be fair to Cull, he was honestly beating up the Hulkbuster badly. He could wrestle with the armor, throw it around and rip pieces off it. Bruce really only won that fight because he managed to launch Cull into Wakanda's energy shield. Cull had also already shown how dangerous he was against Iron Man.

Cull Obsidian's warhammer gives Abomination something to worry about

Then you give Cull that giant warhammer on top of everything else. He has definitely got something Abomination has to worry about. He can use it as a hammer, a blade or a shield. He can even launch the chain out and suddenly fight from a distance.

Once Abomination gets his hands on him, the Harlem fight plays out again

At some point, Abomination is going to get his hands on Cull Obsidian, and the Harlem fight is going to play out all over again. Abomination didn't just survive a fight against the Hulk. "He was winning."

He kicked Hulk through a building, repeatedly threw him around the street and was basically bullying him. That lasted until Hulk got angrier and started overpowering him, and even then, putting Abomination down was very hard.

Cull Obsidian's durability is the weak point

Cull Obsidian might be strong enough to fight with Abomination, "but his durability is definitely questionable." Black Panther's kinetic blast can knock him down, and Wakanda's shield completely messed him up.

He did survive plenty of punishment during Endgame, but Giant Man eventually just stepped on him and killed him.

Blonsky actually knows what he's doing

Underneath all of that muscle, Blonsky actually knows what he's doing. Before becoming Abomination, he was already an elite special ops soldier. "So, this isn't just two giant monsters mindlessly swinging at each other."

Put Abomination's record against the real Hulk together with Cull's questionable durability and Blonsky's training, and for all of those reasons, Abomination wins this one.

Do you think Cull Obsidian's warhammer and reach would be enough to keep Abomination at a distance, or does Blonsky take it once he closes in?
