Karathen vs. the Kraken: Why I Think Aquaman's Sea Monster Wins

Karathen versus the Kraken, who wins? I've got to say the Karathen wins. The Kraken is definitely incredibly powerful, but the Karathen has the better feats that we can actually see, like literally defeating an entire army all by herself.

The Kraken's power rests largely on the claim that it defeated the Titans

The Kraken is definitely incredibly powerful, but a lot of that is based around one statement: that this thing has defeated the Titans. That's doing a lot of the heavy lifting here. On top of that, we're told that the Kraken fears no weapon. You can kind of see why. When it comes out, it's big and massive, and it basically starts destroying Argos just by moving through it.

Perseus has to kill it basically using a cheat code, getting it to look at Medusa's head. That's a workaround to the Kraken's power and durability. The Karathen can't do that. She's going to have to actually fight this thing.

The Karathen tore apart an entire Atlantean army in Aquaman

Honestly, I think she can. During the final battle in Aquaman, the Karathen bursts straight through the seafloor and starts tearing apart an entire Atlantean army. She's getting blasted by futuristic warships, and she just keeps going, ripping those same ships apart with her tentacles. So physically, I really don't think the Kraken is going to overwhelm her.

Up close, the Karathen's claws, teeth and tentacles give her the advantage

When they get tangled up, the Karathen just clearly has the advantage. The Kraken has two gigantic arms and is super strong. The Karathen, though, has claws, teeth and all those massive tentacles, on top of being super strong, and she's like over 2 miles long.

The Kraken defeating the Titans definitely sounds really impressive. But the Karathen has the better feats that we can actually see, and for that reason, I've got to say the Karathen wins.
