Blade vs Edward Cullen: Why I Think Marvel's Vampire Hunter Wins

Edward's mind reading, stone hard skin and immunity to classic vampire weaknesses make him dangerous, but Blade's experience tips the fight.

Blade versus Edward Cullen: who wins? I'm giving Blade the victory. First, though, I'll give Edward some credit, because Twilight vampires are way more dangerous than people realize.

Edward Cullen's speed, strength and mind reading make him a serious threat

Edward is ridiculously strong and insanely fast, and his skin is harder than stone. He can also read people's minds. That means he could potentially know what Blade is planning before Blade even makes a move.

Twilight vampires also lack the usual weaknesses. Sunlight doesn't kill them. Silver doesn't work, and neither does garlic. And stabbing him through the heart with a wooden stake isn't going to do anything.

So even if Blade shows up with an entire arsenal of vampire killing weapons, he'll find out that most of them are useless. Edward is fast enough to get around Blade, strong enough to throw him around the room, and tough enough that most weapons aren't going to seriously hurt him.

Blade has fought Dracula and Morbius, so Edward is nothing new to him

Even with all of that, Blade "has just been there, done that." Edward is nothing new to him. He's fought Dracula, Morbius, entire armies of vampires and all kinds of supernatural monsters.

Blade is superhumanly strong and fast himself, and he has a healing factor. He is one of the best vampire hunters in Marvel. He's also a very good fighter and an expert with swords, guns, explosives and anything else he can get his hands on.

Twilight vampires can be torn apart and burned

On top of that, Twilight vampires aren't completely indestructible either. Their bodies can be torn apart, and burning the pieces prevents them from coming back. Easier said than done, I guess.

But given how good Blade is at hunting vampires, I'm going to say he's more than up for the task. "He's spent his entire life doing exactly this." Blade wins.
