DanCo Breaks Down Spider-Man vs Nightcrawler: Who Wins?

Teleportation makes Nightcrawler one of the most dangerous X-Men around, but I don't think it's enough to beat Spider-Man.

Spider-Man versus Nightcrawler. Nightcrawler is secretly one of the more dangerous X-Men out there, but Spider-Man wins, and it isn't even close.

Nightcrawler's Teleportation Makes Him Secretly One of the Most Dangerous X-Men

Teleportation is really an overpowered ability when Nightcrawler lets loose. He can appear behind someone, grab them, and bamf away before most people can even process what just happened.

It gets worse. I think it's totally possible that Nightcrawler could teleport limbs off an opponent if he really wanted to. What stops him is Kurt's faith and belief in moral goodness rather than any lack of ability. If that moral restraint ever went away in a fight, Nightcrawler could become an absolute menace.

Even as things stand now, he's fast enough and skilled enough to easily fight against Spider-Man. And Peter does seem to have a genuine vulnerability to sharp, pointy swords, which plays right into Nightcrawler's fighting style.

Spider-Man's Strength and Durability Put Him in a Different League

For everything Nightcrawler can do, Spider-Man is just better than him in almost every way. I don't even think strength and durability need much debate here. Spider-Man can lift somewhere between 50 and 70 tons, with the willpower to lift even more in the right moment.

He's injured beings like Hulk with his punches and sent villains flying clean through skyscrapers. Peter can literally one-shot Nightcrawler if it comes to a straight exchange of power. Spider-Man is also so tough that he'll rest during fights just by letting normal people punch him, which tells you how little a hit actually bothers him.

Nightcrawler simply is not strong enough to hurt Spider-Man outside of his swords. So the entire fight really comes down to one question: can Spider-Man actually catch him?

Spider-Man Has Already Tagged and Beaten Nightcrawler Before

The answer is yes, he definitely can, because Spider-Man has simply done it before. Forget dodging bullets, heat vision, or lightning. He's straight-up tagged Nightcrawler in their fights and reacted to his teleportation with his spider-sense. Peter knew where Kurt was going to be before Kurt even popped back out.

Not just that, but Spider-Man has beaten Nightcrawler before while simultaneously fighting against the entire X-Men team at the same time.

Spider-Man is definitely in a whole different tier than Nightcrawler. It really isn't even close. Spider-Man wins.
