Leslie Kean Argues the Varginha Case Bodies Pose No National Security Barrier to Disclosure

The journalist says biological evidence from the 1990s Brazilian case could be released without the excuse used for technology. Here is why I agree with her, and why I still would not get your hopes up.

Leslie Kean has argued that the alleged non human bodies from the Varginha case in Brazil are proof that we are not alone, and that releasing information about them is not a national security concern the way technology is. I think her points are more than valid, but I would not get your hopes up too high about that information being released in the next year.

I think this is an older interview, but it is still relevant, and I do not know how much it has been covered. So I wanted to go through what she said, what I think she was and was not claiming, and why I believe the Varginha case itself is authentic.

Leslie Kean and the Varginha case that James Fox documented

Leslie Kean is one of the major reasons we got that New York Times article back in 2017. She has been outspoken about a lot of things, she has been an advocate of UAP disclosure, and she is about as close with everyone else in this space as anyone. I think she was even at Capitol Hill when David Grusch made his announcement.

The interview connects to something from earlier this year. I think it was the beginning of this year when James Fox had the doctor from the Varginha case come forward. If you are not familiar with it, the Varginha case is one of the most talked about cases in the UAP community, and to be completely honest with you, it should be talked about in a lot more places.

The abridged version is this. In Brazil, an event happened, and it was not just one or two people. Various numbers of people saw not only a craft but bodies and potential beings walking around. It has been documented, and I think it happened in 1996. If you watch Moment of Contact, the James Fox documentary, it breaks it down very well.

This year the doctor came out and talked about what he had experienced and the encounter he had with the being. These bodies were taken, and what people are saying is that it was us, the United States, that took them.

Kean says Varginha is a concrete, unclassified link between biologics and crash retrievals

On the podcast, Kean talked about the bodies of these supposed beings. She said Grusch and others have always made the connection between what we call biologics and crash retrievals, but what interests her about the James Fox film is that it is something concrete that makes that connection. "It's documented. It's not classified," she said.

She described it as a case in which there was a crash, and then there were live beings that were well documented, captured by the military, taken to hospitals and eventually taken away by the United States. She called it an extremely well documented case and said she loves the fact that the film may bring more attention to the biologic side of this.

She also mentioned other efforts that are going to be taking place around that, which she said we would see over the next few weeks.

Kean argues the national security excuse does not apply to the bodies

The heart of her argument is that release of information about the biologics is not a national security concern. These are studies that have been done on tissue or bodies, she said, and you cannot argue about them the way you can argue about technology. Obviously, she said, we do not want the Russians and Chinese to understand the technology that has been reverse engineered or created.

A body is different. In her words, it is "a body that exists of a non-human being. And it is absolutely proof that we're not alone." She added that it is proof that is not a threat to national security.

So when petitioning the government, once it can get to a credible level, she said one can make the argument that this should be revealed, because the normal argument used, which is national security, does not apply. That leaves her question: what is going to be the argument for withholding that information? She sees the Varginha case as a springboard into that level of inquiry because it is a documented case of living beings, which in her view takes it into that world in a very credible way.

She said she is very fascinated by this as a possible unfolding narrative over the next year. She does not know where it is going to go, but she said there are going to be some interesting developments around that case over the next year.

Why I would not get your hopes up about a release within a year

Now, I would not get your hopes up too high about whether information on this case will be released in the next year. As I said, I think this interview is a little older, and she could have been referring to that conference with James Fox, the doctor and other people at the beginning of the year. That was still relevant, and the case was not going away, but I do not know if that is what she was referencing in this particular interview.

I also do not think she said 100 percent that this is coming. It seems like she does think the beings are real, that it did happen and that it was well documented. But it did not come across as her saying these are real, they are going to come out in the next year and people had better be ready for it.

A deliberate cover up since 1996 would be irresponsible and unfair

Her points expose one of the biggest issues with the national security excuse. What is the national security risk of saying we have proof that we have discovered beings from somewhere else, that we are trying to figure out what they are, and that we are working in tandem with other governments to find out what they have?

If this ever does come out, to me it just shows they have known for a very long time, especially if they have had these things since 1996. It would further show they have been covering it up on purpose and continuing to do so, which I think is irresponsible and unfair to the rest of the population.

I agree with what Kean says about technology, and I always have. If there is technology that we have, or that China, Russia, Germany or any country has, you have to be careful about sharing what you have first, or at all, because you do not want another country to gain the advantage. I compare it to Oppenheimer and the race to create the nuclear bomb. You want to believe there will be a moment of the world coming together and saying that what we are really fighting over is minuscule.

I think about the guy from parliament the other day who was talking about other things that were important and was pushed on why he would give his attention to the UAP topic instead. If these bodies were announced to be real and proof came out, I think it is not only about how the US would handle it but how the world would handle it.

Could society handle the announcement of alien bodies? I believe we could

Outside of national security, the other argument has always been whether people can handle it, and what it would do to beliefs. I always push back on that. If the only announcement is that we have these bodies and they are not of this earth, I do not think that necessarily should question religion. It is an enormous universe. Who is to say your deity, whatever religion you believe in, did not create beings out there as well as here? Nobody can say yes or no to that, and you can still feel it does not question anything you believe.

Now, this is science fiction I am putting in my head, but consider the what if. They release the bodies, then there is an interview with one of these beings, and the information is that they put us here and created us. That would question your religion. Nobody knows if anything like that happened, but I could understand if that was held back for a little while. The same goes for theories that they are actually us from the future and know how we got here.

Just the announcement of bodies, proof that we are not alone, is different. The question is whether we could handle it as a society, and I believe that we could. I still wonder, though, whether it would just get buried in the news, with people saying aliens are here and then moving on to what somebody did on TikTok. I do not know. I would like to believe we would be stunned that they finally told us.

But as I have been saying, I do not trust people in power to act for the greater good. I think it is more that they know it is their power and they are not going to give it to you, and that has been going on for way too long for them to hand it over.

Why I believe the Varginha case is authentic

I agree with everything Leslie Kean said, and I do believe in the Varginha case very much. I have seen that documentary a few times, and there are just a few too many coincidences across all the different things for me.

If you have never seen Moment of Contact, I highly recommend it. The man who initially discovered the crash was just a civilian. There is his retelling of it, and then there is the moment James Fox brought him back to the area, his recollection of it, and the emotion that came over him as he went over it again. "He's just a normal guy," not a famous actor, and "if he was acting, you should get him in movies," because it is one of the best performances I have ever seen. I totally believe it to be authentic.

Do you think the Varginha case is legitimate, and do you think it will ever be officially acknowledged?
