Trump's Newsmax Answer on UAP Disclosure Told Me Nothing
Asked repeatedly whether he would be the president who discloses the truth, Trump talked about Air Force pilots, a fence in Nevada and document releases
Is President Trump actually going to release the files on UFOs, UAPs and the alleged reverse engineering program? He was asked that question directly on Newsmax, and I hate to say it this way, but his answer told me nothing.
In the past, he's talked many times about how he doesn't necessarily believe in these things himself, but he's talked to other people, pilots and people who were pretty convincing, who say that they do. So I wanted to know whether his stance had changed.
How Obama's podcast comment led to the Trump UAP tranches
Remember when Obama was on that podcast and was asked whether aliens are real? He said they're real. That kind of started the whole thing that brought us to where we are now with these tranches, because Trump then said Obama shouldn't be talking about that stuff and should have been saying something else instead.
Trump then started releasing the tranches we're seeing now. In my view, there's nothing really of note that has come out of them. David Grusch talked about as much on Joe Rogan's show. He said a lot of people have been kind of frustrated with some of what's been released, but he believed that by the time the current administration was wrapping up, they would indeed announce that we are not alone, and that the information many people have claimed would come out.
Trump told Newsmax he wasn't much of a believer but sees "some pretty strange things"
The Newsmax interviewer pointed out that no president has ever been willing to step to the microphone and disclose the truth, and asked whether aliens are real, whether we have been visited, whether we are reverse engineering their technology, and whether Trump would be the one to do it. Trump said: "Uh I wasn't much of a believer. I have friends that are like that's all they can talk about." He added that "I do know we see some pretty strange things."
He then described interviewing about five or six Air Force pilots, whom he called "central casting guys" and "solid people" who "aren't conspiracy theorists or anything else." He said they told him they saw things while flying that they had never seen before. In one case, he said, a pilot saw a round object, which he noted is not an ideal shape for going fast, that went four times faster than an F-22, which Trump called the fastest fighter plane in the world. Trump said he asked whether it could have been a comet or something else, and the pilot told him it wasn't.
Trump said he's "not high on the list" on the subject, then pointed to a Nevada fence
When the interviewer pressed him again on whether he would be the president who does this, Trump said he was looking at it again, but also that he's "not high on the list" when it comes to that particular subject. He then brought up the zone in Nevada, describing cars parked there and "a little rusting fence" as "the craziest thing I've ever seen." He finished by saying: "So, we are releasing documents. We are releasing everything," and that they are releasing some pretty weird sites.
I got nothing from that. What does he mean he's not that high on the list for this? He's the top of the list. I don't understand. And when he says the pilots are central casting, that suggests they're 100% telling the truth. I think they are telling the truth, but I don't know what's going on in that interview.
The part about the rusting fence and all that stuff made me think: what? The interviewer asked him three different times whether he would be the president who discloses this. What I wanted to hear was something like: we have things that are going to blow people's minds, and the stuff I've seen still fascinates me.
Why I'm not buying the "not at the top of the list" line
There's got to be more information that he knows, whether he's deciding to move away from it on purpose, not saying things, or maybe realizing he will or won't be saying more later. Whatever it is, I'm not buying the not at the top of the list answer.
Part of the problem is the tranches themselves. When that first one came out, it was what everybody was talking about, and everybody wanted to see what was in there and dive through it. Now it feels like the same stuff. Let me guess the next one: a grainy object that moves a certain way, and then someone says it's a balloon. The deeper question of whether he'll be releasing information on reverse engineering, and what he knows about it, didn't get answered. I guess the interviewer asked the best he could until he had to go back and ask the same question again, because it wasn't really going anywhere.
I would love to have seen something more definitive: we put these out, here's what you can see in there, and here are things I've seen in the next few files. That's what I hope for. I hope his thinking is: if I know we're releasing a bunch of new things later, what's in there? Because I might be asked about it in upcoming interviews. It's something everybody wants to talk about, and I don't understand how everybody doesn't. Especially if you're the one person who can actually find out whether these things are real.
Maybe it's strategy, or maybe it's about getting credit
Again, maybe it was all strategic, and he does know and is going to wait a certain amount of time while they craft it out and decide that now is the time to discuss and reveal this. When Grusch was on Rogan, he seemed really, really confident that they were going to make that announcement. So is this leading toward that? And will more people ask the president more definitive questions about reverse engineering and what has come out so far?
At least in interviews, it seems more like: let's release this stuff and see if anything happens. It doesn't seem like there's a deep dive on his part, and it doesn't seem like his opinion has changed much. We've heard before that when they opened that site, it got flooded. This is a guy who likes the numbers. He likes to see a lot of hits, he likes to see people talking about things, and he likes to see whether they're getting credit for releasing them.
So whether he's actually diving deep into them, I don't know. But releasing more information, at least whatever they're allowed to, could be seen as a win for them, a credit for being the most open we've been. That could be what's happening.
Will the next tranches reveal anything more?
Will they actually reveal any more information in these next couple of tranches? I don't know. I didn't necessarily gather a big boost of confidence from this particular interview. It seems like a lot of people did. I'm not one of them, but I could be wrong.
Do you think this interview shows Trump is holding back more information as part of a strategy, or that he doesn't really care much about the topic and will simply release whatever they can while dealing with other things?
