Avengers: Age of Ultron First Time Reaction: Natasha Climbs My Rankings and Clint Wins Me Over

Seeing the Avengers sequel for the first time made Clint grow on me, pushed Natasha up my favorites, and left me almost wishing the hammer had lifted a little bit more for Cap.

Avengers: Age of Ultron was my first time seeing this one, and I loved every single thing about it. I'm really loving how The Avengers grows every time I come back to it. I feel like the storyline is getting stronger and better, and "I'm really authentically enjoying it."

Clint grew on me for the first time in Age of Ultron

This is the first time I've seen Clint in the Avengers where he actually grew on me. Normally I didn't really care for the guy, but this was the one where I started to like him and feel like he's pretty cool. I love that we found out Clint has a wife and children. During the scene where he's on the phone, I knew he was lying, and I thought he was talking to Nick Fury. I was wrong on that too, because it was his wife, which is actually adorable. I love how he put his family into hiding for their safety, and how behind closed doors he has this simple life.

Natasha moves into fourth place on my list

My order of favorites now: Tony is still my number one, Loki is still number two, Hulk is three, and Natasha just moved into fourth. After her I'd say Groot, then Captain America. I love that we're getting deeper with Natasha, and I'd still love to know even more about her because her character is becoming a real solid character. I love that they paired her and the Hulk up. She grew up around fighting, while Bruce has the power to destroy but doesn't want it and chooses not to fight, which is the complete opposite of what she was basically trained to do. I also loved the scene where she's talking to him about running away, then kisses him and says she needs the other guy. I want to explore a lot more of that relationship.

I feel like Tony kind of holds everybody's hearts, and Thor is on his level of immaturity

Tony is arrogant, hilarious and full of heart. Everybody has beef with him one way or another, but you can't help but love him because he's witty and funny. Mid movie, though, I did note that "this guy is always destroying stuff," meaning Iron Man, not just the Hulk. I love how he and Bruce team up and how Tony always convinces Bruce to go his way. I crave it. I also love the bromance across the whole team, Clint included. Thor feels like he's on Tony's level of immaturity, and if I got more of their scenes together, I might actually move Thor up.

Wanda, the red guy, and the hammer moment

Wanda's powers are cool, and I'm wondering if she and the red guy Tony and Bruce created might have something down the line, since their powers feel kind of similar but very different. I love how everyone tries to make logical sense of the hammer, then this guy nobody knows just wields it. Cap almost budging it, and Thor getting scared, was a priceless moment. I almost wish it lifted a little more, because who else would be worthy than Captain America, "Mr righteous himself"?

One miss: I was told the Marvel creator Stan Lee apparently cameos in almost every one of these films, and I didn't spot him. I can't wait to see the next one.

Should Captain America have lifted the hammer in Age of Ultron?
