WandaVision Episodes 4 to 6 Turned Into Something Twisted, and I Love It
The Wanda reveal shocked me, Vision broke my heart, and my biggest fear is whether he can survive outside her world.
Episodes 4 to 6 of WandaVision left me shocked, and I am honestly obsessed. I thought Wanda was trapped and came out realising she built the whole thing herself. As I said to her in the moment: "I thought somebody was holding you against your will but you're doing that."
Monica Rambeau's return and the Wanda twist I did not see coming
Monica waking up after the blip had me wondering, early on, whether that was where WandaVision was heading after all that craziness. I would still love to know how the blip chose who to take, though I don't know if the show will ever tell us.
When Wanda pushed Monica out, my first thought was that maybe she created this to protect herself and Vision. Then she kept refusing to face anything, and I landed on a different read: she's running from reality. That ending was twisted. For a split second I told myself she would never do this, but she would, to keep them safe in their own little love world.
Hayward, Agnes and the people caught in the middle
One moment with Agnes and the twins struck me as weird. Hayward, on the other hand, I had down as a bad guy, and his jab about Monica not being there when her mother died was low. And seeing one character land on the right side? I love that for him.
Monica's cells being rewritten made me suspect our girl is about to become a superhero, though I might be wrong. And bringing Pietro in as her brother felt fitting.
Vision is the heart of it
I feel so bad for Vision. He has memory loss, and when he asked whether he was dead, it was killing me. When Wanda stretched the hex just so he couldn't leave, it left me wondering whether controlling an even bigger stage will exhaust her even more.
It is remarkable that she put him back together and he is still as kind, loving and sweet as he is. But my real worry is this: "are we going to be able to keep him that is my biggest question and fear".
My verdict
These three episodes were outstanding and wild. Part of me misses the sweet, mellow hometown lifestyle, and the children make everything sadder, but I'm excited to have Vision back. I think the way they're telling this story is so clever, and there's not one character I find weak. At the time, it looked like there would only be one season, which bummed me out, because for me "this is gold this is money pure money". I'm interested to see how it ties in to everything else.
Do you think Vision can survive outside the world Wanda created?
