Spider-Man vs Wolverine: Why Peter Parker Beats Logan

Adamantium claws and a healing factor make Wolverine deadly, but Spider-Sense, speed and webbing tip this matchup toward Spider-Man

Spider-Man vs. Wolverine, who wins? My answer is Spider-Man, and it comes down to one simple problem for Logan: he has to actually hit Peter.

Wolverine is the most dangerous person in almost any room

This is not a knock on Wolverine. He has a century of combat experience, an adamantium skeleton, claws that cut through basically anything, and a healing factor that makes him one of the hardest beings alive to put down. He survived a nuclear bomb. He has fought his way through armies of ninjas and Deadpool.

In almost any fight, Logan is the most dangerous person in the room. Against Spider-Man, though, all of that power only matters if it connects.

Spider-Sense means Peter is gone before Logan even swings

Spider-Sense does not just warn Spider-Man that an attack is incoming. It fires off before Logan has consciously decided to throw the punch, before the muscle movement, before everything. As I see it, "Peter's already going to be gone."

On top of that, Spider-Man is infinitely faster and more agile than Wolverine on his best day, dodging bullets and lightning with ease. A fighter who knows the attack is coming before it happens, and who can move that fast, is extremely hard to land a blow on, however skilled the attacker is.

Webbing up Logan's arms makes the claws matter much less

I don't think it's a stretch to say that Spider-Man is strong enough to actually injure and knock out Wolverine. Honestly, though, he may not need to. Web up those arms and those claws don't really matter as much. "Logan can't pop them if he can't move his hands."

To finish him, Peter does not need a knockout. "He just needs to stick him to a wall." For me, that settles it: Spider-Man wins.

Do you think Wolverine's experience and healing factor could find a way past Spider-Sense, or is Spider-Man the clear winner here?
