Hulk vs. King Kong: Why I Think the Green Rage Monster Beats the Titan

Hulk versus King Kong: who wins now? My answer is Hulk, even though Kong brings a serious size advantage and is, I think, arguably the smarter fighter of the two.

Here's how I see the matchup playing out, starting with everything Kong has going for him.

A fully grown King Kong stands almost 400 feet tall with weapons and battle experience

King Kong, after he's fully grown up, is standing almost 400 feet tall. He's got a battle axe made from a Godzilla dorsal fin and a mechanical fist that amps up his punches. He's fought Godzilla twice and lived to tell about it. He even stood up to the Skar King, Shimo, and the Skar King's entire monkey army.

Kong also isn't a dumb fighter. I think you can argue he's actually a better and smarter fighter than the Hulk. We see him reading fights, adapting and improvising weapons. It's honestly impressive.

This is a 350 foot tall titan going up against an 8 foot tall green rage monster. That size advantage alone does a lot of the heavy lifting for Kong.

Hulk is no stranger to battling bigger, taller opponents like Surtur

However, Hulk is no stranger to battling bigger, taller opponents. The guy stood down Surtur when Surtur was towering over Asgard the size of a mountain, and he still rocked him with a hit. He knocked him down and punched in part of his crown. Surtur obviously felt the attack.

Hulk also managed to one shot a Chitauri Leviathan, a creature that was able to level skyscrapers and that Iron Man couldn't even begin to scratch.

Kong's size works against him, and Hulk's rage seals it

The size difference also works both ways. Yes, Kong is bigger, but that also makes him a much easier target to hit. Meanwhile, Kong can't grab what he can't catch.

Hulk is fast enough to get inside, small enough to duck under Kong's swings, and hits hard enough that Kong is going to feel every punch he lands. Add on the fact that Hulk just gets stronger the angrier he gets. "The longer this fight goes on, the worse it's going to get for King Kong."

So my verdict: Hulk wins.
