Two professional monster hunters, one fight, and why Geralt's signs, senses and experience might be enough to beat the Predator from Prey

Geralt vs Feral Predator: does the Witcher beat the Prey hunter?

Geralt of Rivia versus the Feral Predator: who wins? You've got two professional monster hunters here. Both are experienced, both carry many weapons, and both are particularly good at beating things that should be way stronger than them. But I think Geralt might have just enough tricks up his sleeve to pull off the win.

The Feral Predator is the hunter from Prey (2022), the film starring Amber Midthunder as Naru. Going up against him is the Witcher, Geralt, a man who has spent his life hunting monsters.

The Feral Predator is stronger than Geralt and carries tech Geralt has never encountered

The Feral Predator is an absolute beast. He overpowers and kills an enormous grizzly bear with his bare hands. He tears through groups of armed soldiers, and he carries some dangerous weapons.

He's got his wrist blades, a retractable shield that can slice through trees, a spear, a net launcher and a spear gun on his shoulder. That's not even mentioning his camouflage. So Geralt is dealing with an opponent who's stronger than him, incredibly aggressive and equipped with tech he's never encountered before.

Geralt's senses could beat the Predator's camouflage

Geralt is built for a fight like this. He's spent his entire life fighting monsters. He's got enhanced strength, speed and reflexes, along with supernatural senses that allow him to track creatures no one else would even see.

So while the Predator's camouflage would definitely be a problem for a moment, Geralt should be able to find him with his hearing or smell.

Quen, Aard, Igni and Yrden give the Witcher an answer to Predator tech

While the Predator has his tech, the Witcher has his signs. With Quen, he can create a magical shield to protect himself from attacks. Aard allows him to knock enemies backwards. Igni lets him shoot fire, and Yrden can slow opponents down. All of that is going to make him incredibly difficult for the Predator to deal with.

Imagine the Predator charging straight at Geralt, only to get blasted backwards by Aard before Geralt follows up with his sword. Or picture Geralt using Quen to survive an attack that otherwise would have killed him. Geralt also has potions that can enhance his abilities and improve his regeneration.

Naru's win over the Feral Predator points to Geralt's chances

Bottom line, Geralt is a much more skilled, versatile fighter. He's got decades of experience studying monsters, finding their weaknesses and figuring out how to beat creatures that are stronger than him.

The Feral Predator was ultimately defeated by Naru, who managed to outsmart him and use his own tech against him. Considering that, I think Geralt has a pretty good chance of doing something similar. The Witcher wins.

It's hard to imagine Predator almost failed with a kickboxing red lizard suit, but thanks to the midproduction pivot, Stan Winston's redesign and dropping Van Damme, it became a genre defining classic. Sometimes the best thing for a movie is for everything to go wrong.
