Why Ultron Beats Megatron in a Fight, According to DanCo

Ultron wins a fight against Megatron. That is the conclusion I have come to after weighing up the size, strength, experience and materials both characters bring to a fight, and it comes down to one simple problem for Megatron: he does not have a way through vibranium.

On paper, Megatron looks like he should win this. He is way bigger than Ultron, stronger, and has literally thousands of years more experience fighting wars. Megatron has battled Optimus Prime over and over again, killed Optimus, and even while he was basically falling apart, he was still able to come in and absolutely wreck Sentinel Prime. Physically, Megatron is probably the stronger, more experienced fighter, and he is very hard to permanently put down. He survived getting blasted apart, losing an arm, and basically half his face.

Megatron's Real Problem Is Getting Through Ultron's Vibranium Body

The issue is how Megatron is actually going to hurt Ultron in the first place. Ultron's final body was made with vibranium, the same metal as Captain America's shield. Because of that, Ultron is able to trade punches with Thor and take attacks from Iron Man without going down easily.

At the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, it took Vision firing the mind stone, Iron Man blasting him with his repulsors, and Thor hitting him with lightning, all three at the exact same time, just to start to injure that vibranium body. Megatron simply does not have that kind of power behind his attacks.

His fusion cannon is powerful, and his blades can cut through Cybertronians, but Cybertronians can also be damaged by human missiles. There is a huge difference between cutting through Optimus Prime and cutting through vibranium, and that gap is the whole problem for Megatron in this matchup.

Ultron's Intelligence Gives Him Another Massive Edge

Beyond the durability issue, Ultron has another major advantage: he is way smarter than Megatron. Ultron is a supercomputer that can hack into systems all across the planet with ease.

I would not necessarily say Ultron can just hack Megatron and instantly shut him down, since Cybertronians are living alien machines rather than ordinary tech. But it is still a possibility that is out there.

Why the Fight Ultimately Goes to Ultron

Putting it all together, Megatron can throw Ultron around thanks to his size and raw strength. But at the end of the day, Megatron does not have a way through vibranium, which means Ultron can take Megatron's attacks, keep flying around him, keep blasting away, and eventually find a way to tear him apart.

That is why, despite Megatron's experience, resilience and brute strength, I have Ultron winning this fight.
