Spider-Man: Far From Home Premiere Leaks Reportedly Expose Mysterio's Lies and That Skrull Twist Ending

Detailed leaks said to come from a premiere screening claim to reveal how Mysterio deceives Peter Parker and what really happens in both post-credit scenes.

A new batch of leaks claiming to detail the plot of Spider-Man: Far From Home surfaced on the Marvel Studios Spoilers subreddit from a user called Agnostic Manator, who apparently attended the premiere screening. As always with leaks like this, I think you should take it with a pinch of salt, but it massively lines up with other spoilers that have been released so far, so it seems to make a lot of sense. I have added in details from other sources to flesh out the story a bit, since the original post was mainly bullet points and left out the first act that was already shown in the trailers.

Peter Parker Reportedly Opens the Film Grieving Tony Stark

The movie apparently opens in the wake of Tony Stark's death at the end of Endgame, and similar to Homecoming, it opens with a montage of the heroes that was supposedly put together by Peter. It is described as referential to the prior film, but instead of the enthusiastic Parker seen in Civil War, it is said to be very downtrodden and sad.

Flying home from the funeral, Peter is reportedly told by Happy that Tony would have wanted him to become his successor. Peter apparently does not want that responsibility and decides to go on vacation with his school to Europe instead, and he does not pack his suit. Later in the film, it is revealed that Aunt May packed it into his luggage anyway.

The Snap's Aftermath Reportedly Shapes the Europe Trip

According to the leak, a small handful of Peter's classmates and teachers were snapped, while everyone else has aged up five years, a detail apparently paid lip service through a joke that one student who used to be considered very unattractive is now a model. Their flight is said to be one of the first out after the destabilization of society in Endgame.

The class trip through Europe is reportedly framed as a way to get everyone settled back into education without added stress, which is when Nick Fury reportedly catches up with Peter and recruits him.

Mysterio Reportedly Poses as a Hero From a Destroyed World

Peter apparently meets Mysterio during this recruitment, and Mysterio claims to be from another world that was destroyed by creatures called the Elementals, who have supposedly come to Earth and are trying to ravage the planet, though it is said that this later turns out to be Earth itself rather than another world. Mysterio reportedly tries to become Peter's new mentor and attempts to manipulate him using visions of Tony Stark and Iron Man, apparently because he wants Peter to quit being Spider-Man so that he can keep being praised as the hero instead.

Later in the film it is reportedly revealed that Mysterio is not from the multiverse at all and has been lying the entire time, using projections, drone equipment, and other tech to fake the Elementals. The leak claims he used to work for Tony Stark, was fired, and stole tech when Stark disappeared during Infinity War. Now that Tony is dead, he supposedly sees an opportunity to rise up and take his place as a hero without real scrutiny, since the world is still recovering from Endgame.

Peter Reportedly Builds a New Suit and Gets Help From Happy and Fury

Peter is apparently introduced to high tech that belonged to Iron Man, and in the film he reportedly gets help from Happy and from someone presented as Fury, which ties into the post-credit twist described later. Contrary to other leaks and rumors, there is apparently no Tony Stark AI in Peter's suit or in his high tech lab.

In the lab, Peter reportedly builds a new black and red suit by combining the red and blue suit with the stealth suit, apparently because he thinks the stealth suit is too clunky, and the scene is described as a fun montage of him cobbling it together. Ned and MJ are reportedly brought into the fight against Mysterio, with MJ smashing drones using a mace, which would explain why the MJ Funko Pop figure was shown holding that weapon ahead of release.

The Ending Reportedly Turns on a Public Identity Reveal

The film reportedly ends with Michelle and Peter officially dating, but it is said not to be a happy ending for Spider-Man overall. Mysterio apparently dies at the end and releases an edited tape showing not only that Spider-Man carried out the Elemental attacks, but also that he is in fact Peter Parker. The leak says the film does not show the aftermath of this reveal and cuts very suddenly, similar to how Aunt May's reaction was handled at the end of the first film in this series.

Fans of the comics will recognize this as being very in line with the Civil War comic storyline in which Peter revealed his identity on television and had to deal with the consequences. I think the identity reveal, while big, is nothing Marvel have not had to deal with before, since pretty much all of the heroes in this universe are known by their public name, and it also ties back to the ending of the original Iron Man film.

Post-Credits Reportedly Bring Back J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson

The first post-credit scene reportedly shows more of the Mysterio tape before pulling out to reveal J. Jonah Jameson watching it, once again played by J.K. Simmons, which I think is an awesome Easter egg. Contrary to other reports and leaks, the final post-credit scene is said to not include the Chameleon, Scorpion, Vulture, Shocker, or Mysterio, and most notably no Norman Osborn appears, despite earlier reports claiming he had bought Avengers Tower and turned it into Oscorp.

Instead, the final post-credit scene reportedly shows Nick Fury and Maria Hill transform into Talos and another Skrull, revealing that they had been asked to take Fury and Hill's place on Earth while the real ones were on holiday. This is apparently why Fury gets mad at Peter earlier in the film for not mentioning Captain Marvel. If this is what ends up on screen, I will be really happy with how the film turned out, and if this is the direction they want to take the character, I am definitely on board.

Again, all of this should be taken with a pinch of salt, but there are a lot of leaks floating around that seem to confirm the same details from numerous accounts, so it seems likely that this is the case. Do these leaks match what you have heard elsewhere, or does something here sound off to you?
