Avengers Doomsday: Leaked Scarlet Witch Photo Surfaces as Kevin Feige Teases a Surprising Ending

A reported set photo of Elizabeth Olsen, comments from Kevin Feige about how the film closes, a new Cyclops figurine, and a leaked Baxter Building scene all point to what is coming in Avengers Doomsday.

A leaked photo reportedly showing Elizabeth Olsen on the set of Avengers Doomsday is circulating, and it has generated a huge number of questions. Reshoots are happening right now, and multiple insiders have indicated that the Scarlet Witch will be in this film in some capacity. Elizabeth Olsen's stunt double has also been teasing old photos of herself as Scarlet Witch, and Elizabeth Olsen herself has reportedly been seen on or around the set.

A leaked photo claims to show Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch on the Avengers Doomsday set

I do not have any doubt at this point that Scarlet Witch is going to be in this movie. The specific photo itself is a different story. "Full disclosure because we do live in the time of AI," I am not entirely sure how real that particular image is. A lot of people have asked why she would be shown in green rather than red.

Marvel Studios has already revealed that Doctor Doom will have witch followers, with Doctor Strange confirmed as one of them, and I think Clea is likely to be another. It makes sense to me that Scarlet Witch would be one of the witch followers too, but I would expect her to be the red one, not green. Someone like Sylvie seems like a better fit for green.

There are a few things about the image that feel off to me, though Doom could simply be dressing all of the witches in green, or Marvel could be trying to mislead people. I do not think Marvel would let a spoiler this big get out on purpose. Even so, I still think Elizabeth Olsen is on the set right now, that she will be in the film, and that she is one of the witch followers.

Kevin Feige's comments about the ending sound like a possible cliffhanger tease

Kevin Feige recently talked about how fans are going to feel at the end of Avengers Doomsday. He said, "I don't want to spoil anything," before adding, "I think fans will be incredibly satisfied and yet incredibly surprised of where it's headed." He also said that after that, fans will have a hard time waiting for the next film. Some fans are taking that as a sign the film could end on a cliffhanger.

I think no matter what, we are going to have a hard time waiting for the next film regardless of how the film ends. The bigger question for me is who Feige is actually talking to there, the general audience or the online Marvel fan base who already track every leak. We pretty much know how this ends already, with Doom winning and creating Battleworld, so that might be a surprise for casual viewers but maybe not for people who follow this closely.

I would like to think the Russo brothers and Kevin Feige have a genuinely big plan to make the ending spectacular in a way that we are maybe underestimating a little. We have heard leaks about this movie for years, even before Doctor Doom's involvement was confirmed, yet watching the trailer felt like nothing we had heard before mattered, right down to lines like Reed Richards yelling, "Victor, did you do this?" My guess for the twist is that Doom wins, the Avengers all die, and Doom brings them back, but the exact execution is still the biggest open question.

A new figurine describes Cyclops as taking on a leader role

A new figurine gives a fresh description of Cyclops in Avengers Doomsday, calling him "the tactical leader of the X-Men" who "crossed the multiverse" to make his "monumental Marvel Cinematic Universe return." The description continues that Scott Summers, "the legendary Cyclops, steps into the ultimate battlefield to stand against Doctor Doom," reprised by James Marsden in his iconic uniform and "ready to unleash his devastating ruby quartz optic blast."

We have already seen a small glimpse of that optic blast in the trailers, and it looks amazing. This figurine is a fun addition on top of that footage, and I thought it was worth sharing because it's really cool.

Blind box mini figures show Bucky, Gambit, Thor and Magneto, and fans are already joking about it

A set of blind box mini figures features Doom alongside Bucky, Cyclops, Mr. Fantastic, Gambit, Thor with both Mjolnir and Stormbreaker, and Magneto. The character selection is interesting on its own, but the placement is what got people talking, since Bucky is shown standing right behind Doom holding a knife.

Some of the comments on this were genuinely funny, with people joking, "Don't worry, guys. Bucky's got this. Don't worry, Bucky's going to stab Doom." That was basically my reaction too. I love Bucky, but seeing him standing there with just a knife made me wonder what that is really going to do against Doom. Gambit is getting a lot of attention in this set as well, and I am really enjoying that.

Leaked Baxter Building photos appear to confirm a full scene between the Avengers, Fantastic Four and X-Men

Leaked photos show the X-Men, including Gambit, alongside the Avengers and Fantastic Four at the Baxter Building. This scene is one we already know is real because versions of it, including Gambit and Magneto shown just like this, appeared in the special look trailer before these photos surfaced. The images have reportedly been run through AI and altered slightly, which is why something like Channing Tatum's neck looks off, a common tactic so Marvel Studios cannot claim the exact leaked image as their own.

Based on what is known, this scene takes place right after Sue Storm's monologue revealing Doctor Doom as the villain. The Fantastic Four arrive in the main Avengers universe, Earth 616, and everyone realizes three universes, the Fantastic Four's, Earth 616, and the X-Men's, are colliding. Reed Richards and Doctor Doom come up with a plan to separate them, which requires traveling to the X-Men universe with Doom in tow.

While that happens, Steve Rogers and Thor go to the TVA, since Loki has already visited Steve and given him the TVA card seen in the trailer, which appears to show the Yggdrasil tree on the back. Steve tells Thor that a version of Loki is alive, and Thor wants to see him, but when they arrive the TVA has been destroyed, apparently by Doom. From there they travel to the X-Men universe, likely through a TVA portal, though how exactly is unclear, and that seems to be where Reed says, "Victor, did you do this?" revealing Doom as the villain, though there could be another explanation for that line as well.

Doom then raises Sentinels that start destroying everything, and Thor tries to fight him one on one without success. How Doom gets away without killing everyone is still a mystery, though it looks like he finds what he is looking for in the X-Men universe and simply leaves once he has it, a classic villain move that keeps the heroes alive for later. Everyone then returns to the Baxter Building, where Sue and likely Reed explain who Doctor Doom is. Separately, Channing Tatum's Gambit apparently becomes fascinated with Mjolnir during the earlier fight between the Avengers and X-Men, possibly after trying to pick it up, and I think it would be a cool moment if Gambit eventually charged up Mjolnir or Stormbreaker for Thor, similar to the Wolverine moment in X-Men '97.

What do you think the real twist at the end of Avengers Doomsday will be?
