Dr. Eric Davis Admits He Has Only Seen Photographs of Alien Bodies, Not the Real Thing

A new interview with the insider Alan Steinfeld calls one of the field's most informed voices raises as many questions as it answers, and a separate announcement points to a September 17 reveal of a decades old formula.

A new interview with Dr. Eric Davis is making the rounds, and after going through it clip by clip, I came away with more questions than answers about what he actually knows versus what he is simply repeating from other people.

A September 17 reveal of a decades old formula from Bryce Sable and Brett Freriedman

Before getting into Davis, a clip from the Sound and Light Frequency podcast is worth flagging. Bryce Sable and Brett Freriedman announced they are going to use their September 17 episode to unveil what one of them called a formula they were reportedly given years ago, along with all of the thinking and research they have done around it since. One of them described the formula itself as "a bit of a Rorschach test," meaning different people are likely to see different things in it, and said the bigger question they want to wrap their heads around is not just what was given to them, but why it was given to them.

From what I understand, and I may be getting some of this wrong since I have not covered it in depth yet, the story is that these two men were reportedly given a formula on a piece of paper or a napkin decades ago, were told it would make sense later on, and have never revealed it publicly until now. I plan to cover this more once the reveal actually happens on Thursday.

How Dr. Eric Davis is introduced as an insider in the interview

The interview, conducted by Alan Steinfeld on New Realities, opens with a montage laying out Davis's credentials. Steinfeld introduces him as one of the inside insiders in the field of disclosure and says he may have more inside information than almost anyone else in that space. Davis himself, in a clip from the film The Age of Disclosure, says he worked 28 years as an astrophysicist on highly classified UAP programs for the United States government and the defense industry.

The montage adds that Davis was a consultant to the government's AATIP program, authored a paper on transversal wormhole stargates and negative energy, worked closely with Jacques Vallee, and was mentioned in a 2020 New York Times article about consulting members of Congress on off world vehicles not made on Earth. It also states he was the first person in congressional hearings to identify different types of aliens the government has reportedly encountered, all while maintaining his NDA. That is essentially how he is being sold to the audience before he says a single word about the actual substance.

Davis dodges the question about NDAs being lifted

Steinfeld's first real question asks Davis what he thinks about reports that the president and other commissions are moving to lift NDAs for people like him. Instead of answering directly, Davis talks about counterintelligence gatekeepers, arguing their job is to protect government secrets and that disclosure is not part of their mindset. In his words, "Disclosure is a social thing. It's a cultural thing that's going on." He says resistance will come from the counterintelligence gatekeepers in the government, but more importantly, the biggest resistance will come from private companies that do not want their intellectual property from crash retrieval programs exposed.

Davis then lists what he thinks should be released without delay: that UAP have been here for thousands, probably tens of thousands, of years, citing Jacques Vallee's book Wonders in the Sky and Vatican library records as documented history. He says the public should be told there is a nonhuman intelligence in control of exotic transmedium craft technology operating in space, atmosphere, and sea, and that the government has recovered such craft worldwide, not just in the United States. He also says the government should acknowledge contact with these NHIs through official channels kept even more secret than the crash recoveries themselves.

What struck me is that none of this answers the actual question. He never says whether he personally is going in to talk once his NDA is lifted. As I said on this, "I just found it funny that he essentially didn't really answer the question if you ask me." He is telling us what the government should acknowledge without addressing his own role, and without establishing any proof for the claims he is listing off.

Why Davis says derivative technical information should stay classified

Later in the same answer, Davis argues that information about materials, control systems, propulsion, or possible weapons from recovered craft should not be declassified, because it would tip off foreign adversaries. He specifically names China, saying it is very good at stealing American innovations and would throw resources at espionage against the companies and personnel involved, both through cyber intrusion and human infiltrators. Again, this is Davis explaining what should not come out rather than answering the original question about NDAs.

Pride, budget politics, and a contradiction about alleged agreements with NHIs

Asked why insiders are afraid to release information given that, in his words, there is no real secret about aliens existing, Davis says government insiders specifically do not want to admit they lack weaponry or technology to counter UAP craft entering sensitive military airspace. He references the New Jersey drone incidents from the previous winter and a claim from Robert Salas about interference at Malmstrom Air Force Base going back to 1967. Davis says the government does not want to acknowledge this because it fears looking incompetent next to a proposed 1.5 trillion dollar fiscal year 2027 defense budget, calling it "a pride thing" and adding it also rises to a political level.

This is where I think the story stops adding up. If, as Davis has suggested elsewhere, there are agreements in place with these beings, why would craft still be flying into nuclear and military airspace with no consequence? To me that suggests either there is no real leverage in any alleged agreement, or there is no agreement at all, just instructions being handed down that humans either accept or do not. That is not what most people would call an agreement.

Multiple NHI species and motives Davis says remain unknown even to insiders

Asked why these NHIs are here, Davis says plainly, "I don't know. That's another secret I couldn't penetrate through the classifications to get into to get the answer." He notes one president volunteered that contact had occurred and that a briefing document from before Reagan's first administration exists, though it arrived without its appendices attached, making it hard to draw conclusions from. He says engineers and technicians working on crash retrieval material are compartmentalized from that kind of motive information, and that only leadership, or possibly people inside contracted companies, might know more, adding, "Maybe they know. I don't know."

He does mention, seemingly for the first time in this context, pieces of the craft "that have been removed from it" rather than only recovered debris, a detail worth noting even though he does not elaborate on what specifically was taken.

The zoo hypothesis and what I see as a contradiction in his claims

Asked about the NHIs' relationship to humanity, Davis leans on what he calls the zoo hypothesis from the search for extraterrestrial intelligence community, the idea that they are the zookeepers and we are the zoo animals. He says the wider SETI and astrobiology community rejects UFOs, UAP, and NHI beings outright, but argues the evidence still fits that framework based on thousands of years of encounters.

What bothers me here is that Davis says at one point we do not know who these beings are or where they come from, yet elsewhere in the same interview he identifies specific species and says compartmentalization means almost no one, at most two members of the congressional gang of eight, has the full picture. If everything is that stovepiped, I do not see how he can make definitive statements about what we do or do not know collectively. It reads like a contradiction to me.

Davis says he has only seen photographs, not physical craft or bodies

The most important admission comes when Steinfeld asks if Davis has seen anything that would shock people. Davis says the only classified material he personally saw was human intelligence on a foreign country's UAP recovery during the Cold War, and that this came only as photographs and technical reports, no video or film. He confirms there were bodies in that material, but clarifies he saw only photographs of bodies, not the physical bodies themselves, since he was never in the foreign country in question.

He also addresses Jim Lacatski, saying Lacatski has spoken publicly about entering a craft and touching it, but never revealed that access to Davis, Robert Bigelow, Hal Puthoff, Jacques Vallee, or John Schuessler despite all being on the same team, because Lacatski reportedly held a higher tier clearance than the group's TS SCI access. Davis says that higher tier, called waived and acknowledged special access, is where the more detailed answers likely live, and that he has not been able to see beyond his own TS SCI level.

My take on what this interview actually proves

Putting it together, everything Davis says he has personally witnessed amounts to photographs and reports of a foreign crash retrieval operation from the Cold War. He has not seen a craft or a body in person, and he does not claim firsthand knowledge of reverse engineering or motive. He is relying on other people's accounts while simultaneously describing a system where, in his own telling, almost no one has the complete picture.

That leaves me skeptical about how definitively any of this can be stated. If NDAs get waived, I think people may be surprised at how little some insiders actually have to show, because based on what he describes, nobody in his circle has directly seen the craft or the bodies themselves.

Does this interview change what you think insiders like Davis actually know, or does it just add to the pile of secondhand claims?
