Michael Myers vs a silverback gorilla: who wins the fight?
The Halloween killer has shrugged off bullets, blades and fire, but a 400 pound ape is a different kind of opponent
Michael Myers is one of the most terrifying killers in horror movie history, but what would happen if he stood face to face with a huge, full grown gorilla? It would be a brutal fight, and Michael could definitely win under the right conditions, but I'd bet on the gorilla.
Why Michael Myers is far more dangerous than any normal human
Michael is simply much more dangerous than any normal person. He has survived being shot, stabbed, beaten and even set on fire. Somehow, he always comes back.
In Halloween Kills, angry mobs surround him, beat him to the ground, shoot him and stab him. You'd think he was finished. Instead, he simply gets up, dusts himself off and starts killing everyone.
He isn't only incredibly tough, either. He's also very strong. We've seen him overpower grown men, lift people off the ground and kill someone with a single stab of his knife. He won't stop until he wins.
Why a silverback gorilla is a problem even for Michael
But here's the problem: we're talking about a gorilla. These animals are so strong that there has been serious debate online about whether 100 men could beat a single one.
An adult male can weigh more than 400 pounds, with enormous arms, powerful jaws and teeth, and enough strength to tear off limbs. Michael may be strong enough to overpower any ordinary man, but he has never shown the kind of strength needed to take on an animal like this. If the gorilla managed to grab hold of him, it would be very hard for him to break free.
Michael's toughness and his knife give him a chance
I do think two things work in Michael's favor. The first is how tough he really is. The second is that he's carrying a knife.
With that knife, if he managed to stab the gorilla in the neck or another weak spot, he might be able to kill it. His almost supernatural ability to keep fighting through any injury could give him exactly the opportunity to do that.
Why the gorilla still wins
The problem, I think, is that even a potentially fatal stab wouldn't necessarily stop the gorilla right away. And if Michael went down with a 400 pound animal on top of him, I don't think he'd be in a good position at all.
On top of that, we know this version of Michael can ultimately be killed. It would be a brutal fight, and Michael could definitely win under the right circumstances, but I'm putting my money on the gorilla. The gorilla wins.
