Why Chucky Would Beat the Entire Toy Story Crew, According to DanCo
With Child's Play and Toy Story 4 hitting theaters the same day, I pit Chucky against Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the rest of the toy box to see who survives.
Child's Play and Toy Story 4 came out on the same day, so I decided to put two of the biggest toy franchises in movies against each other in a fight to the death. Yes, it's ridiculous, but that's part of the fun. Chucky against the entire Toy Story crew, who comes out on top? Let's find out.
Chucky's Origin as the Lakeshore Strangler Who Became a Killer Doll
Before he was ever a toy, Charles Lee Ray was just your average serial killer known as the Lakeshore Strangler, with a knack for voodoo. After the cops caught up to him for stabbing a pregnant woman, Charles was shot twice and chased into a toy store. With no other options, he transferred his soul into a Good Guy doll on the shelf, becoming the killer doll known as Chucky.
Even though he's just a toy, Chucky is shockingly strong, being just as strong if not stronger than a normal human. He's able to throw people to the ground, knock them out, and has used weapons ranging from a bottle to a baseball bat. He's strangled people with jumper cables, decapitated a man, and even cut his way through doors and stabbed into metal before.
Just How Strong and Fast Chucky Really Is
Probably most impressive of all, even while decapitated, missing multiple limbs, and with his skin melted and burned off, Chucky was still strong enough to bust through a metal grate and strangle a man with one hand. He's also pretty fast and agile, having dodged gunshots, snuck up on victims, and jumped out of the way of oncoming cars.
Because of his small size though, Chucky has a bit of a problem being much of a threat on his own, so he's learned how to improvise and turn almost anything into a lethal weapon.
Chucky's Near Unkillable Durability
I called Chucky "quite nearly unkillable" in the fight, and the fact that he's a doll means that even if he's mangled, most attacks aren't necessarily fatal to him. He's fine after being smashed in the head with a baseball bat, wasn't hurt by being stabbed in the chest after having half his face sliced off, and even survived being lit on fire and covered in molten plastic.
Bullets aren't enough to stop him either. Chucky has taken gunshots to the leg or chest and kept on fighting, and he was even still alive after his arm, leg, and head were all shot off.
Meeting the Toy Story Crew's Full Roster
On the other side, the Toy Story crew is made up of pretty much every toy in that universe. That includes Sheriff Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, Slinky Dog, Rex, Ham, Bo Peep, Sarge and his soldiers, RC, Bullseye, Ken and Barbie, Mr. Pricklepants, Trixie, Buttercup and Dolly, along with villains like Emperor Zurg, Stinky Pete, Lotso, and Big Baby.
Chucky will be given his trademark knife in this fight, and the toys will know he's coming to try to kill them and kill Bonnie, since they're all technically her toys now. That gives the toys time to prepare, and it lets Woody and Buzz come up with a plan. Even so, this is really all Chucky, since the toys have never really been in a scenario like this before and don't have as many fighting feats between them as he does.
The Toys' Own Track Record of Surviving Horror
Chucky is easily the greatest threat the Toy Story universe has ever seen, above Zurg, above Lotso, even above Sid. He's actually gone up against full grown adults, overpowered them, and killed them before, strangling one with jumper cables, knocking another out with a baseball bat, and beating a man to death with a yardstick. He's even been swallowed by an alligator and torn his way out of it from the inside. He's also shockingly savage, having slit a man's throat with a razor, killed a man with a nail gun, and carved out a woman's eye, even before he became a doll.
That said, the toys have "been through some stuff" too. Sid tortured, mutilated, and killed toys just for fun, Zurg had to be defeated, Stinky Pete tried to sentence Woody to a life sealed in a box, and Lotso kept toys as prisoners and tried to kill them multiple times. So a large evil doll with a knife trying to kill them isn't necessarily going to throw them off too much.
The Toy Story Crew's Best Weapons and Abilities
The toys are also surprisingly capable. Bullseye can run as fast as an airplane, Zurg has a long range weapon in his blaster, and Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head are ridiculously durable, if not impossible to kill, since they're shapeshifters who've become a tortilla head or a cucumber head before. Slinky Dog can wrap around and restrain opponents, Rex can smash through metal grates using his head, and Ham can launch quarters, nickels, and dimes at people.
Why Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Big Baby and the Toy Soldiers Matter Most
The most important toys here are Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Big Baby, and the toy soldiers. Big Baby is possibly the only one who could even begin to rival Chucky in strength, and Jessie has actually shown she's a capable fighter before. The toy soldiers work and function like a military unit and have durability, having been swept away and stepped on by grown adults. Buzz is a skilled fighter, surprisingly agile, and durable enough to take on massive foes compared to his size, having even had a TV come crashing down on top of him.
Then there's Woody, who could be considered a skilled tactician and strategist, having planned several daring escapes and rescues, including a plan to escape Sid's torture room. Under Woody's leadership, the toys could come up with a plan to try to defeat Chucky, but I don't think it's likely to work. Their plan to escape Sunnyside actually failed and got them sent to the dump instead, and when they beat Lotso, it was only because they revealed that toys are real, which was essentially scared-straight tactics. Chucky isn't going to be fazed by living toys, since he's a living toy himself.
My Verdict: Why Chucky Wins
At the end of the day, Chucky is just too powerful here. He's physically larger than most every toy out there and so much stronger it's not even funny, having overpowered and killed grown adults before, stabbed through metal, cut down doors, and even killed an alligator from the inside. Almost nothing the toys can do will actually put him down, since he's shrugged off baseball bats, stabbing, having his face sliced off, being set on fire, being covered in molten plastic, and multiple gunshots, even surviving having his arm, leg, and head shot off.
On top of that, Chucky has no morals and no problem killing, and he's willing to take down all the toys in sick and savage ways. The toy story crew has the numbers, and even with Woody coming up with a plan, Chucky is "too strong too ruthless and definitely too durable." Chucky wins, defeating all the toys.
Who do you think would actually win this fight?
