Vision vs Homelander: who wins? DanCo says Vision easily
Homelander's brute force runs into a hero who can turn intangible, has a vibranium body and carries the Mind Stone
Vision versus Homelander: who wins? My answer is Vision. Homelander, from The Boys, has almost no chance against him unless Vision fights very badly, and the reasons come down to density control, vibranium and the Mind Stone.
Homelander is strong, but The Boys universe isn't
Homelander is used to being the strongest guy in any room he walks into. That's because the universe of The Boys isn't all that strong, especially when you compare it to a superhero universe like the MCU.
Sure, Homelander is powerful in his own universe. He's got superhuman strength, crazy durability, flight and heat vision powerful enough to cut straight through people. We've also seen him fight other superhumans like Soldier Boy and Butcher. So if you want to say the two of them stand there and trade punches, I guess Homelander has a shot.
Vision's density control lets Homelander's punches pass through him
The problem is that Vision doesn't have to let Homelander hit him at all. Vision can manipulate his density, which allows him to become completely intangible. Homelander could throw the hardest punch of his entire life and it would pass straight through Vision like he wasn't even there.
That's a massive advantage when Homelander's entire fighting style is built around pure brute force.
Vibranium and the Mind Stone give Vision durability and firepower
Vision isn't some ghost that Homelander can't touch, either. His body is made with vibranium, giving him incredible durability. He's strong enough to knock around Giant-Man and stand up to Ultron.
He's also got the Mind Stone embedded in his forehead, which allows him to fire powerful energy blasts.
Why Vision beats Homelander unless he plays it badly
Bottom line, Homelander has almost no chance unless Vision plays this fight "very, very stupidly." Homelander is centered around physical attacks, and Vision can dodge all of them. His vibranium body is probably too durable for Homelander to even injure.
And Vision can definitely take Homelander down with one good phasing attack or a single blast from the Mind Stone. It really isn't even close. Vision wins.
What other creators are saying
More on Vision →I think the Client echoes Byrne's 1989 Vision Quest comic, and based on fan evidence I lean toward Jim Hammond being the Client. I also believe Ultron, having grown attached to life and protective of Tommy, won't let Jocasta finish her plan.
VisionQuest theory: is the Client Jim Hammond, the Human Torch? →
I think Ultron's human face might not be based on Tony Stark himself but on Tony's biological father, Werner von Doom, meaning Tony is adopted and secretly Victor von Doom's brother. Probably not true, but I'm having fun with the theory, and VisionQuest keeps proving Ultron and Vision are becoming more human.
Yes, the article concludes Vision qualifies as alive by a broadened biological standard, and his soul is likely tied to the Mind Stone and his bond with Wanda. The Vision seen in WandaVision is probably a projection created by Wanda's mind rather than the original.
In Deadlock, Ultron pursues a synthetic woman whose AI is built on a scientist from the project, but she outsmarts him with a virus, calling their encounter chess rather than a meal. The twist is that Ultron reportedly feels love for the first time through this strange, artificial-trying-to-be-real romance.
