Sinestro's Yellow Ring Can Create Almost Anything He Imagines

Sinestro can create basically anything he can imagine with that ring: any weapon, any tool, a giant fist, a robot, a city, even up to planet-sized constructs. Literally anything he can think of, he can bring into existence, and his constructs can hurt Kryptonians.

He has regularly beaten Green Lanterns like Hal Jordan and Kyle Rayner, and he has been able to create shields that can take attacks from universal level beings. On top of that raw power, Sinestro really has no moral problem when it comes to putting enemies down permanently.

Magneto's Powers Go Far Beyond Simply Controlling Metal

Magneto is the master of magnetism, and while controlling magnets sounds kind of lame as a power, he definitely makes it work. He is an omega-level mutant, and his power is not simply controlling metal, it is controlling the entirety of the electromagnetic spectrum.

That lets Magneto do things like manipulate the entire magnetic force of the planet or unleash an EMP around the world that shuts down every piece of electronic tech. He has even resurrected a dead Celestial and served as its electromagnetic nervous system. He can also go much smaller, shutting down the electronic synapses in someone's brain or manipulating the iron inside their bloodstream.

Can Magneto Actually Manipulate Sinestro's Ring or His Constructs?

I think there is one big question here: can Magneto use his powers to manipulate Sinestro's ring or his constructs? My answer would be maybe, but probably not. For starters, Sinestro's ring is not metal. It is actually a physical manifestation of fear, so Magneto really has nothing there to manipulate.

The same goes for the constructs. They might be hard light, and you would think that falls on the electromagnetic spectrum, but it is actually more complicated than that, since it is the emotion of fear just in hard light form. On the other hand, Sinestro can actually use the ring to sense and manipulate magnetism himself. I am not saying he has as much control over it as Magneto, but Sinestro can potentially turn Magneto's own powers against him.

Sinestro Operates on a Bigger Scale, and That Settles It

I think the bigger factor for Sinestro is that he just operates on a larger scale than Magneto. Battling against universal level beings and winning is nothing new to him. He has been able to defeat Guardians of the Universe and entire emotional entities.

Magneto is simply outclassed at that level. Because of that, Sinestro wins.
