Avengers: Doomsday Reshoots Reportedly Put Doom's TVA Attack on Loki On Screen, Plus a Wanda Post Credit Tease

New reports point to an extra TVA scene, a Thor outburst at the Avengers, and a post credit scene built around Wanda

Marvel might have fixed something I had a personal problem with going into Avengers: Doomsday. According to one online report, the scene of Doctor Doom invading the TVA and confronting Loki, which was originally going to happen offscreen, was apparently filmed during the recent reshoots.

That is not the only new scene being talked about. There is a tease from David Harbour about Thor yelling at the Avengers, and a reported post credit scene centred on Wanda that I am really excited for.

Joe Russo says the Avengers: Endgame Encore scenes are not in Doomsday

Before getting into the new scenes, it is important to keep in mind what Joe Russo recently told Empire magazine about the four new scenes released with Avengers: Endgame Encore. Those were the Loki scene with Steve Rogers and Peggy, the scene with the Hulk, the scene at the TVA, which was my favorite, and the scene with Doctor Doom at the very end.

Empire asked whether the scenes shown in Encore would not appear in Doomsday because they were specifically shot to bridge the gap. Joe Russo replied, "Yeah, that's right." So those exact scenes are not going to be in the movie. Probably some different iteration of them will be, but not the specific ones.

That had me concerned. A problem I had with what we had been hearing, and I think a lot of people had issues with this too, is that Loki reportedly would not have much screen time and neither would the TVA. Then came that TVA scene with Mobius and everybody. Loki was not there, but he is employee of all time. The scene was amazing, and then we heard it is not in the movie.

Reshoots reportedly show Doom invading the TVA and confronting Loki

Past reports told us we were not getting much TVA time, but that has now changed. According to a report from James Mack: "Apparently, from what I've heard, the scene of Doom invading the TVA and confronting Loki, which was originally going to happen offscreen, was filmed now during the re-shoots and will now show what actually happened."

That makes me a lot more excited for Doomsday. When we heard this would happen offscreen, I just thought Loki is so important to the multiverse. He is literally holding branches together. Loki seasons 1 and 2 were so good, so how could they not have much of Loki in this? We had heard a lot that maybe Steve and Thor show up and the TVA is already destroyed, and we never really see it. They just come back and report that Doom destroyed the TVA, because it was always reported that somebody was left who said it was a guy in a green cloak, Victor von Doom.

We know Doom originally starts off pretending to be good, and I am sure at one point he was good until a bunch of stuff happened. But then the Avengers, the X-Men and the Fantastic Four figure out he is the one actually destroying the multiverse. That is what the new TVA scene was showing us. The destruction was not one universe here and another a few days later. It was all happening at the same time, like a bomb went off, and Doctor Doom probably set off that bomb.

So now it looks like we may actually see Doom starting the destruction of the multiverse and then going to the TVA and maybe killing Loki. I have full confidence Loki appears in Secret Wars, but who knows what happens to him in Doomsday. Hopefully we get a Loki versus Doctor Doom fight, which I think would be really cool, unless Loki could not really do anything because he is holding the timelines together. That would actually be a great explanation for why everything falls apart at once. I think we need that TVA scene in the movie for sure.

David Harbour teases a scene where Thor yells at the Avengers

David Harbour, who plays Red Guardian, recently teased a big scene where lots of characters get together and discuss problems. He recalled that on one of the first days, he and Florence Pugh, who plays Yelena Belova, were standing next to each other when Chris Hemsworth came in and told them they were messing everything up and needed to do something about the issue. He remembered thinking, "Oh my gosh, this is the point in the movie where Thor comes in and yells at all the Avengers."

I have seen a lot of memes about Thor returning and basically asking what this Avengers team is, compared to what they had before with Hulk, Iron Man and Captain America. Now there is Sam Wilson without the super soldier serum, a Falcon with no superpowers, and Thunderbolts who mostly lack powers. Even Red Guardian has the Soviet serum rather than Steve Rogers' version, which is not as good because he can get out of shape, unlike Bucky and Steve.

Based on what we know, Thor's daughter Love was brought back to life by Eternity, so she may have a little of Eternity's power and sense what is happening. So Thor and Love return to Earth to this whole big mess. I think this is probably after the fight in the X-Men universe, where Doom raises the Sentinels and basically beats the Avengers. I think they go back to the Baxter Building and Thor yells at everyone about why they did not deal with this sooner. We will have to wait for the exact context, but Thor and Steve are the original Avengers here.

It looks like the Hulk will be in the movie based on the Encore scene, but again we are not 100% sure, since Joe Russo says that scene will not be shown. He could be lying just to throw us off, and those scenes could be in the movie, but we will wait and see.

A reported Wanda post credit scene sets up breaking Doom's spell

We have heard rumors that Wanda will return in Doomsday, though it is a little unclear. She could be one of the witches, and we are getting a lot of promotion for them. New promo art shows Doom's three witch followers along with the rune symbol Doom has on the back of his hands, which I believe is rune magic that lets him stop Thor with two fingers. Could one be Clea? Could one be the Scarlet Witch? We will have to wait and see.

One thing we have heard is that one Doomsday post credit scene will feature Wanda assembling her own team, showing she is good and about to go up against Doctor Doom. That might be the case. Now, according to MyTimeToShineHello, more filming was done for the post credit scene. She teased Wanda and another scene: "Rebels split up walking Doom's domains looking for one thing that can break the spell." One finds Thor ruling a realm he does not remember asking for, and one finds Shuri on a throne.

That suggests Wakanda might be a sector of Battleworld, with Shuri ruling it, even though we are supposed to get a new Black Panther and we heard Shuri might die. It looks like Doctor Doom wins and casts some type of spell, since magic is his thing, so nobody remembers the past and they look for someone to awaken people. I have been talking about this a lot: Wanda seems like the person to do that, and I think this makes the most sense, especially because I think Doctor Strange is going to be at Doom's side a lot.

Wanda is more powerful. Agatha even says in WandaVision that the Scarlet Witch is stronger than the Sorcerer Supreme. If anybody can help, it is Wanda, and Jean Grey will be there too, so there will be powerful people who can help restore memories. I am still a little confused, though, because the reports about Wanda's role are contradictory right now. She could start as a witch, then turn on Doctor Doom and become a big player in Secret Wars.

Do you think Wanda begins Doomsday as one of Doom's witches, or as the hero who breaks his spell?
