Star Wars Battlefront 3 talks reportedly involve EA DICE and Bungie

Star Wars Battlefront 3 might be happening. According to a new report, Disney is already talking to developers about it, and the studios mentioned are a pretty big surprise. Lucasfilm has reportedly been sending out feelers to find a developer for Star Wars Battlefront 3, and two studios are reportedly in talks.

One of them is the studio behind the last two games. The other is Bungie, and I personally think it would crush it.

EA DICE is probably the obvious pick for Battlefront 3, but Battlefront 2's launch could count against it

The first studio reportedly in talks is EA DICE, which made the last two Battlefront games in 2015 and 2017. Let's be real, it's probably the obvious pick. DICE already knows how to make Star Wars battles look and sound incredible.

However, after the rocky launch for Battlefront 2, it's hard to say whether they trust DICE to do another game. Battlefront 2 is incredible right now. If you haven't played it recently, I recommend it. It's good.

Battlefront 2 had a rough launch, but it turned into one of the best Star Wars games ever made, and it still has a loyal fan base. So a sequel almost a decade later would be "pretty huge."

In my opinion, Bungie is the wild card in the Battlefront 3 report

The second studio is the wild part: Bungie. Yes, the Destiny and Marathon studio, which is owned by Sony. Bungie has been through some major layoffs, and in my opinion, this is the wild card.

I do think Bungie's gameplay is some of the best in the industry, so a Battlefront game made by Bungie would be a completely different vibe. I personally think they would crush it. Imagine a looter shooter Star Wars game where the PvP is Star Wars Battlefront.

Imagine if Bungie gets to make a third game and it's not Destiny 3, but Battlefront 3. "Like that would be so funny."

The Battlefront 3 talks are very early, which points to 2029 at the earliest

Keep in mind this is very early. Lucasfilm, EA, and Bungie haven't commented on anything. If the talks are happening now, there's likely no real development yet.

Realistically, we're looking at 2029 at the absolute earliest. So who do you think should develop Battlefront 3? Should it be DICE again, or should it be Bungie?
