WesNemo's GTA 5 Police Chase Spirals From Four Stars to a Five-Star Near Death Experience
A downtown pursuit through stop signs and power slides almost ends the run before the car limps back to the shop.
I found myself lighting up the wanted meter in Grand Theft Auto 5, and it went from a four-star chase to a full blown five-star nightmare in the middle of downtown. The cops were in high pursuit right from the start, and this one got messy fast.
The Four-Star Chase Through Downtown Nearly Ends at a Stop Sign
The pursuit kicked off with cops already locked on at four stars, and I was weaving through downtown trying to hold the lead. I clipped a tree, went up on the sidewalk, and then took out a stop sign completely, sliding through it with what I called a power slide. The FBI joined the chase right after that, so the pressure was ramping up as things got faster and more chaotic.
In the middle of all that I pulled off a 360 spin and somehow kept going, trying to decide whether to cut toward the highway or head for the airport. That was right before another car showed up out of nowhere and I panicked, yelling for myself to hurry and drive. That moment pushed the chase to five stars, and I said out loud, "oh dude this is not good."
A Five-Star Near Death Moment Forces a Trip to the Shop
Once the five stars hit, I genuinely thought the run was over, saying "this is GG" in the moment. I was scrambling just to keep the car from getting wrecked, repeating "save the car, save the car" because I knew we would need to get it into a shop afterward rather than starting over from scratch.
Even after surviving that, the chaos was not done. I clipped another car during the escape, calling out "you clipped them, you clipped them," and by the end I noted the car had lost a door in the process.
Would you want to see more of this kind of Grand Theft Auto 5 chaos and variety?
