Why Old Man Logan Beats Batman
A claw strike through the batsuit is all it takes, even against the most complete Batman ever put on screen.
Old Man Logan takes down Batman in this matchup, and it comes down to one simple piece of math: Bruce Wayne can outfight him for a while, but Logan only needs to land one clean hit to end it.
Old Man Logan Is Still a Lethal Fighter Even 50 Years Later
Old Man Logan is what happens when you take the most dangerous X-Man alive and age him 50 years without killing him. The adamantium skeleton is still there, and the healing factor is still functioning, just slower than it used to be. The claws still cut through anything, and the combat experience from a lifetime of fighting everything the Marvel Universe could throw at him is still absolutely intact.
He is not the berserker Logan of his prime anymore. Instead, he is a harder, more methodical fighter who has seen everything and stopped flinching at any of it.
Bruce Wayne Is the Most Complete Batman Ever Put on Screen
I think Bruce Wayne is the most complete Batman we have ever seen on screen. The warehouse fight alone, taking apart a room full of armored mercenaries with pure tactical brilliance, switching between weapons mid fight, never wasting a movement, is what I see as the standard by which all live action Batman fights get measured.
His combat skill is elite, and his gadget suit has answers for almost every opponent he faces. He has beaten Superman. To me, he is the most dangerous non powered fighter in his universe.
Why the Keyword Might Just Be Non Powered
Logan's healing factor means Batman's weapons, including batarangs, electric shocks, and even the armor itself, can damage him but cannot take him down permanently. Meanwhile, one clean claw strike through Batman's armor ends the fight outright, since adamantium is going to go through the batsuit no matter how well engineered it is.
The Fight Is Genuinely Competitive Because of How Good Bruce Is
Bruce's skill keeps him in this fight longer than most anyone else could manage against Logan. He reads the threats, he adapts, he finds angles. I see this as genuinely competitive precisely because of how good Bruce is.
But the math only works one way. Logan just needs to land once, and that is enough to decide it. Old Man Logan wins.
